Modern family life
Before this house met MN Builders and OXB Architects, the place was tired and dated – but located in a fabulous, bay-side setting. The team transformed it into a contemporary family home.
The kitchen and living room were opened up to a create and new, redesigned gathering space – to better access the outdoors. We installed window walls that completely fold out of the way, giving the family a fuller sense of the water right nearby. And in a nod to more traditional finishes, the design called for limestone tiles to be installed on vertical surfaces around the fireplace.
The entry and adjoining mudroom/bathroom were also modernized with clean and simple details, as was the front of the house facing onto the street: check out the entry tile that flows from inside to outside.
